Download the official app
Visit jaxx.io or your device’s official app store to download Jaxx Liberty for iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, or Linux. Verify the developer name: “Jaxx Liberty” by Decentral Inc.
Create a new wallet
Open the app and choose Create New Wallet. You’ll receive a 12-word backup phrase. Anyone with these words can access your funds—never share them.
Secure your backup
Write your phrase down and keep it offline in a secure place, such as a fireproof safe. Don’t screenshot it or save it to cloud storage.
Set a spending PIN
Optionally enable a PIN or biometric lock for convenient, additional protection on your device.
Receive your first crypto
Choose an asset, tap Receive, and copy its wallet address. Use that address to transfer funds from an exchange or another wallet.
